How to lower your BPA

What happens when five regular families switch from canned foods to fresh, organic foods for three days? Their BPA levels drop 60%. This according to a study by the Breast Cancer Fund and Silent Spring Institute, published in Environmental Health Perspectives.

How can you lower your BPA?

• Cook fresh foods.
• Don’t consume canned foods.
• Store food & beverages in glass or stainless steel.
• Don’t microwave in plastic.

On a recent shopping trip, I noticed that EDEN organic beans come in cans with BPA-free linings.

Moms Rising is sponsoring an action to get Campbells, DelMonte, and Progresso to get BPA out of their cans. Sign the petition here.
