Let’s Eat!

Meals with Sweet William just got safer and easier to clean up.

While awaiting the release of Green Eats, the dinnerware made from recycled milk jugs, I decided to test a set of stainless steel dinnerware by Untangled Living. It includes a plate, bowl, cup, spoon and fork, all made from food-grade stainless steel. Needless to say, it’s sturdy and dishwasher safe. The pieces are small, but not tiny — just right for toddler portions and little hands. The lip around the plate keeps food from sliding off.

Our next discovery was the Mimi the Sardine Spillmat. Made of organic cotton and acrylic coating (no PVC), it meets the Oeko-Tex 100 Standard, ensuring health and environmental safety. It is water and soil resistant and can be machine washed and tumbled dry on low. I bought one to put under William’s seat, and I realized I could cut it in half and use it on the table, too. We’ll also use it to protect the table when William takes up art projects.
