I’m not sure this photograph fully captures the extraordinary state of New Orleans’ sidewalks, but it gives you an idea of why we upgraded to a jogger stroller when it came time to invest in a two-seater. We wouldn’t make it around the block without the large rubber wheels of our City Mini GT.
If you’re shopping for a stroller, consider checking eBay. Vendors often sell last year’s model, new and unopened, at steep discounts. That’s how I bought Sweet William’s first stroller, a MacLaren. That year’s model retailed for around $479, but I found the previous, nearly identical stroller on eBay for $185, including shipping.
