Our Report From Wisconsin

Mama, Sweet William, and Fergus at Discovery World.

We had a wonderful time in Wisconsin following our three-week stay in New Orleans. You might have guessed that it became difficult to write on the road. So many distractions! Mostly exciting ones, like these.

Discovery World, Milwaukee’s hands-on science museum. We saw sturgeons and stingrays in the aquarium and explored a life-size replica of a 19th century Great Lakes ship. Mama and Daddy liked the exhibit, “Les Paul’s House of Sound.”

Madison’s Henry Vilas Zoo, which is free to the public and obviously a favorite of many local families. Fergus napped through our visit, but Sweet William liked the bear and the prairie dogs.

The Madison Children’s Museum, where Sweet William learned to stack blocks when we visited last summer. This time he scampered around the rooftop garden and talked to chickens and pigeons.

Daddy and Fergus ride a vintage rail car at the Illinois Rail Museum.

Uncle Patrick shares fried cheese curds with Sweet William.

Uncle Patrick becomes Dr. Uncle Patrick.
