Stretching and Strengthening

I’m back to yoga classes. This time I have my little cobra Fergus with me.

During my pregnancy, I attended prenatal classes taught by Jyothi Larson at Integral Yoga Institute in New York City. Jyothi is a sensitive and careful teacher. She loves her mamas and babies, and she creates a calm, nurturing atmosphere for them. When I was dealing with a painful sacroiliac sprain, Jyothi incorporated poses that eased my problem.

When I couldn’t attend, I referred to her book, Yoga Mom, Buddha Baby.  It offers routines for expectant moms and those whose babies have arrived. It’s easy to follow and adapt to your needs.

Now Fergus and I happily attend Jyothi’s lively class for moms and babies.
